The PHFC coaching program is based on the FFA Coaching
Curriculum.
The Director of Coaching has tailored this curriculum to
suit the needs of our club, the existing skill sets of our coaches and with an
eye on the future.
The program consists of:
- Tools to help coaches plan
- Yearly programs for the different age groups
- Sample coaching plans and templates,
- Coaching handbook and
- Links to good quality online resources to
support program implementation.
Most of the program resources are provided to coaches once
teams are selected and coaches identified. The DOC will provide opportunities
to go through the program with all coaches at the beginning of the year.
The resources available to coaches
will be continually reviewed and updated, with new resources added to meet the
needs of coaches.
Coaching expertise
PHFC understands the need to support
our coaches ensure all of our players are given the best opportunity to enjoy
the game of football. We also want coaches to enjoy the experience of coaching.
An existing committee priority is to
help our coaches to improve their qualifications each year.
